About us

The EIRICH GROUP is a family-managed group of companies operating in the field of special mechanical engineering with its headquarters in Hardheim, Germany.

As one of the world's leading manufacturers of machines and systems for processing raw materials, EIRICH develops, plans and manufactures advanced technologies for mixing, granulating, dispersing, kneading, reacting, tempering and fine grinding since 1863. Solutions for process technology and automation round the portfolio off.

At the 15 sales and production sites all over the world, a staff of approx. 1,300 employees actively shape the future of process engineering. EIRICH focuses its technological excellence on applications such as battery systems, environmental technology, metallurgy, foundry, agrochemicals, ceramics, and many more.

Close cooperation between the company's own customer test centers and the interaction with research and teaching institutes make the "Hidden Champion" a driver of innovation for high-end and efficient products and processes.

Products and Services

The EIRICH Group, with Maschinenfabrik Gustav Eirich as its strategic center in Hardheim, is a supplier of industrial mixing, granulating/pelletizing, drying and fine grinding machinery, systems and services.

EIRICH has core expertise in processes and techniques used for the preparation of free-flowing materials, slurry and sludge. The main applications for these processes are in the ceramics, refractory, foundry, construction materials, plaster, rechargeable battery, battery compound, fertilizer, glass and ore dressing industries.

Close co-operation between our own test centers around the world and collaboration with the research and academic community enables the "hidden champion" to provide solutions for innovative, cost-efficient products and processes.

The family-managed company was founded in 1863 and operates from twelve locations on five continents.

EIRICH Mixing Principle

In mixers between 1 l and 3000 l, only one mixing tool is required, the so-called rotor. The power input into the mixture is very precisely defined by the type of mixing tool, the tool speeds and the direction of rotation. The respective task defines these parameters, which then remain mostly unchanged during upscaling. Moreover, within one revolution of the vessel, 100% of the mix is moved by the tool; the mixer therefore mixes without dead zones in the mixer.

Consistency measurements in EIRICH production mixers and rheological measurements in laboratory mixers

The consistency of fresh concrete is a measure of its rigidity and workability. In the European Standards, concrete consistency is divided into the following consistency classes: very rigid, rigid, plastic, soft, very soft, flowable, and highly flowable.

These classes are described using the classifications for the degree of compactability ranging from C0 (very rigid) to C3 (soft) and the flow spread classes F1 (rigid, flow spread 700 mm. When concrete is mixed in a precast factory, it is essential that the recipe-specific consistency remains constant over a long period of time.

But when it comes to developing new concrete types, it is also important to understand the relative impact of e.g. additives and admixtures on the concrete quickly and easily. EIRICH has perfect solutions for both scenarios.
